Ingredients for Akara
- 2 cups of peeled beans
- 1 big onion
- 2 scotch bonnet chillies
- salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
STEP ONE
Grind the beans with your blender making sure you add as little water as possible. The water should be just enough to move the blades of your blender.
STEP TWO: Then add a little salt and stir. Taste and adjust as needed,
STEP THREE: Mix very well with a wooden ladle or mixer
STEO FOUR: Next is frying
To fry akara, first, add enough frying oil up to 3 inches deep. Second, heat the oil. Then, use a tablespoon measuring scoop to add the paste to the hot oil.
reduce the heat and cook on each side till golden brown, repeat the process till you exhaust the whole batter
Serve with Ogi, Custard and Bread
