AYT Foods Ltd, Fife’s first African-Caribbean grocery brand, has been announced as a Finalist for the Young Business Award at the prestigious Fife Business Awards 2025, sponsored by Diageo. This recognition marks another significant milestone in AYT Foods’ remarkable growth journey and its rising influence in Scotland’s business landscape.
The Fife Business Awards celebrate businesses that demonstrate innovation, resilience, service excellence, and strong community impact. Being selected as a finalist in this competitive category reflects AYT Foods’ impressive progress since launching in December 2023, from a bold startup idea to an award-winning cultural brand serving thousands across Scotland.
“Being recognized at the Fife Business Awards is a proud moment for us as a young business,” said Temitope Ajayi-Salami, Founder and Director of AYT Foods. “It affirms the hard work, sacrifice, and commitment we put into building AYT Foods into a brand that represents culture, community, and quality. We are honored to stand among Fife’s leading businesses.”
In less than two years, AYT Foods has expanded its footprint, introduced new product lines, strengthened community outreach through TMAS Community CIC, and continued to bridge cultural gaps through food. The brand has also won multiple national awards, including the UK Startup Awards National Consumer Products Start-Up of the Year and African Grocery Store of the Year at the Prestige Awards.
This finalist recognition adds to AYT Foods’ growing list of accomplishments, reflecting its mission to celebrate African and Caribbean culture while contributing positively to the wider community.
“We are grateful for the support from our customers, partners, and the Fife community. This recognition motivates us to keep pushing, keep growing, and keep delivering excellence,” Ajayi-Salami added.
